This dance-theatre production by Stefanie Bolzli is a touching and comical solo performance about sensitivity, identity and acceptance. A surprising adventure of searching for a pea is an attempt to establish strategies of humanity and an invitation to checking the daily social role of a woman in the obsessed yearning for happiness. The physical expression is complemented by a video of scenes from the unconscious layers, with images of hidden emotional states, unspoken thoughts and internal monologues. The main expressive medium is the movement material from physical theatre, dance and acrobatics, which at times supports the fragile and intimate emotions in a rather bizarre way and triggers laughter. The princess, who is not one, ironically functions as a sad clown with her shoes full of peas in all the wrong places.
