Gerd Taube
... is a German theatre expert, dramaturg and university professor. He received his PhD from Humboldt University in Berlin on the topic of Puppet Theatre as a Culture-Historical Phenomenon. Since 1997 he has been the director of the national theatre centre for the young (Kinder- und Jugendtheaterzentrum) and the president of the national association for the cultural education of children
and young adults (Bundesvereinigung Kulturelle Kinder- und Jugendbildung). Under his artistic direction, the centre in cooperation with ASSITEJ Germany, Goethe Institut and WIZ in Berlin organises the biennial festival Augenblick mal! an important national and international platform of expert development of theatre for young people. He publishes and lectures about puppet theatre and
theatre for youth, about youth drama and culture and art education, mostly about dramaturgy, acting and expression in youth theatre. In 2014, he was named an honorary professor at the Department for the Children's and Young Adult Literature Research (Institut für Jugendbuchforschung) at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Nika Arhar
... is self-employed in culture; she works as a critic in the field of performing arts, a journalist covering culture, a moderator at expert meetings and debates about performances and as a member of expert juries. She publishes her articles in the daily media and in professional journals. In 2015 and 2016 she was a member of the programme committee of the Cultural Bazaar for theatre and between 2012 and 2016 a member of the executive committee and
coordinator of the Association of Theatre Critics and Researchers of Slovenia. She is continuously attracted to the theatre by the magic of condensed parallel worlds. She recognises the fundamental principle of theatre education in creating the conditions for an encounter of a young spectator with live theatre art, an encounter that would transform its fleetingness into an intense experience of a curious, vulnerable, creative and thinking individual.
PETIDA
... is an institute for research and development of educational and cultural-art practice and for consulting and encouragement of creativity. It was established to help educators, teachers, artists and parents use creative approaches to encourage children, adolescents and adults to enter responsible and respectful relationships with others, to curiously research self and the world, to enjoy in and create beauty. It invites us to express ourselves and allows
others to be expressed, in hundreds of possible ways. Petida is made of the educators Dr Petra Štirn Janota, Dr Robi Kroflič, Dr Katja Jeznik, Darja Štirn and Damjana Jurman and the artists Miha Artnak, Jure Markota and Tadej Bernik.
Partner: Goethe Institut Ljubljana.
